Finestrat only 6 minutes to Benidorm at 50 kilómeters to international airport of Alicante.

Road is accessed via the motorway AP-7, 65-A outputs. From there, a local road in good condition, connects to town in minutes.

Can also be accessed directly from the N-332.

Although the old town is located inside the township has about 267 meters of coast from Punta del Tossal the mouth of the Barranco de la Cachola, which is the so called Cala de Finestrat, this is one municipalities in Spain with a smaller outlet to the sea. The beach of Cala de Finestrat is bordered by the towns of Villajoyosa, southwest, and Benidorm, to the northeast.

In their municipality is the mythical mountain of Puig Campana, whose peak reaches 1410 meters. The Terra Mitica theme park also occupies part of the 42.25 km ² of the municipality.
